Hello, I am Dawn Anderson, and I am a Creator. This blog is becoming my space to share my explorations and observations of the creative process, whether it leads to a made object, a perspective of belief or a life engagingly-lived. I plan on creating two main sorts of posts.
The primary sort will feature my crafty projects and how they tend to launch from existing points of creation. I read a lot, so a lot of books will be mentioned, I watch some things, so shows may be mentioned, I think about everything nearly all the time, so a lot of words will be used, and connections made. I am addicted to inspiration, and my life seems to be about forging the trails that maximize how much of that inspiration can be made manifest. Time can be my friend or foe. A lot of things managed to get made, only to be unmade. But that’s life in a physical dimension, even rocks come and go.
My other sort of post I’m calling an Interlude. About once a month I’d like to invite someone to participate in something creative with me. I’ll be focusing on the creative process and how each person’s personality and talents shape the experience. If there’s a tangible product made, I’ll document that process. But these meetings could be about having a creative experience, about having a good story to tell. I like creating spaces in which people can explore, and feel safe exploring. I like it when people see my endeavors, and are reminded of themselves. And I especially like being the bridge that reminds people that “yes, you can.” And “yes, You Are.”
